OPTICRONbinoculars and scopes have rightly gained a sound reputation forexcellent optics and good build quality at realistic prices. If mymemory is correct, OPTICRON started as a retailer back in the 1970`s,but then turned to selling their own brand of optics sourced from topJapanese optics factories.Listedhere isan original OPTICRON `MIGHTY MIDGET` waterproof angle bodied 20 x 50spotting scope or `field scope` as OPTICRON had it labelled. TheMIGHTY MIDGET lightweight spotting scopes (or travel scopes as theyhave become known) have been developed over the years and are now ona fourth generation design the MM4. This example of the originalmighty midget with fixed eyepiece is in decentusedcondition, it comes with bothlens caps, withthe rubber fold down eyecup in good order. The opticsare in fine order so the viewout is clear and bright and the focusing control is smooth. I havepaired it with a littleSLIK MINI table tripod which makes a good little set up to use fromindoors or maybe from a hide. The tripod looks to have been barelyused over the years.Defects:afewtinyinternal dust specks in the scope; someexpectedusage marks on scope body.itake great care examining, using and describing the binoculars andscopes i sell, and always get a second opinion. however, i am not aprofessional and my description is based on my experience and honestassessment; most examples i sell are at least 35 years old and theremay be other defects…….also, please remember, everyone`s eyes aredifferent…..
