Opticron IS70/45 Telescope and accompanying Manfrotto O5XXB Tripod. The 45 within the Scope model code refers to it being the 45 degree angle view model of the IS70
Condition is “Used”.
This is an excellent Scope for all round ecology work or generalist use. It is extremely portable and quick to set onto the Manfrotto tripod in seconds by a quick release mount. It is waterproof and Nitrogen filled. The Scope comes with a water resistant, padded case with functional openings for use when mounted. It includes removable end pouches which are retained to the casing so they cannot be lost. They can also be fastened back to the case to avoid flapping in the wind.
The scope can be adapted for telephotography if required.
The Manfrotto O5XXB tripod is lightweight, stable and technically brilliant. Each leg can be independently adjusted telescopically in length as can the spread of the angle of each leg. The mounting head can be adjusted very easily using thumb screws. All features have been designed to be undertaken easily whilst wearing gloves.
The outfit is in excellent condition, particularly because it has been in storage for a good number of years so has not been used a great deal.
