Multi Coated Lenses – helps minimize lens reflections, improve the clarity of vision and protect the lenses
I can see small areas of paint loss (mainly to large focus wheel) and to edges of metal prism plates. The ends of the metal objective rims have a little paint loss due to normal usage/age. The main focus wheel and right diopter adjustment operate smoothly and correctly. Both barrels (in reverse view) are mainly very clear and bright – see picturesFree from mould and fungus attack. These binoculars are collimated for prolonged fatigue – free viewing (no double image)I found the collimation to be ‘very good’ with no eyestrain.These are a superb pair of binoculars made by Carl Zeiss the world famous German optical manufactures.The red velvet lined brown binocular case shows external wear but no tears and all stitching is intact. There is no binocular strap but the case strap is in a very good condition. Stamped – DDR (East German)

Wide angle of view to aid easy object location.The Jenoptem 8×30 has been a long standing ‘classic’ binocular for many years!These binoculars are both collectable as they are usable. Binoculars will be well packed/padded.
Beware of far Eastern produced Carl Zeiss copies which have a six digit serial number instead of the normal seven. These copies also have a groove running along the circumference of the large central focus wheel. Thank you
