Carl Zeiss Jena DDR “Jenoptem” 8 x 30w multi-coated binoculars serial number 6552190 (1987.) These are a pair of genuine East German Zeiss binoculars clearly marked “DDR” and with the correct 7-digit serial number. They feature the revoluntionary “T3M” optical multi-coatings for optimal viewing even in challenging low-light conditions. This particular pair have perfect, A1 optics, crystal-clear internally and with absolutely no damage to prisms or any cleaning marks or scratches on the lenses which are like new. Collimation is perfect with no double image. Cosmetic condition is also excellent with few traces of use. They focus very smoothly and produce and bright, pin-sharp image. They have their solid leather red velvet lined case, shoulder strap and black leather binocular lanyard. A fine example of this classic Zeiss glass ready to give many more years of enjoyable use. The binoculars will be carefully packed in a well padded box for dispatch and sent fully insured. I never end auctions early so there is no “buy-it-now” price.
