Zeiss Feldstecher 8 Fach binoculars in very good original conditionThese later model Feldstecher 8 Fach binoculars are in very good original condition. Most of the original black enamel paint remains although it has been touched up in places some time ago. The inscriptions on the cover plates are still very clear. The black leather is excellent with no tears or significant marks. The hinge is free and firm and the clamp works correctly. Both oculars turn freely and smoothly. All lenses and prisms have been cleaned and are now clear and the collimation is correct.The top plates are inscribed Carl Zeiss Jena D.R.P. on the left and Feldstecher 8 Fach on the right. The serial number 42595 is stamped on the frame. The binoculars come with a black leather neck strap with studs which is in reasonable condition. Although being a little dry it is is secure.
