It comes complete with its original tough canvas case.
Detachable leather strap
Both binoculars and case are in a very nice condition with some signs of use.
One tiny dent in one rim of the binoculars, see picture.
In 1940 the Canadian government established R(esearch) E(nterprises) L(imited), a ‘crown company’.
The factory was based in Leaside Toronto and production started in 1941.
R.E.L. was government owned and supported by the U.S. Bureau of Standards and the British Admiralty. R.E.L. mainly made binoculars. Other R.E.L. products were predictors, tank periscopes, and sighting telescopes.
