I have several sets of Binoculars on at present – I am not a Binocular expert or Binocular dealer – If there is dirt or Fungus inside visible I will mention it as with chipped damaged lenses.I do not strip / clean or tamper with binoculars so all are described based upon visual examination I do not pay for optics to be cleaned once received ( which I have been asked to do in past)
WW1 German made C.P. Goerz Trieder Binoculars with Rain cover – Serial no.407988SPARES OR REPAIR ONLY Have some wear Wear to paint on Prism tops and centre hinge.Top metal prism plates marked C.P.Goerz Berlin Right marked 6 x 24 ???? Trieder D.R.P.Underside has serial no. 407988Odd spec of dirt to inner of binoculars fairly powerful for age – pretty cleanMISSING end nut / wheel from hinge on baseLooks like nice early set c.1915 / WW1 period Don’t appear to collimate properly – 2 slightly separate images .
Came with Rain cover and strap – worn due to age .Rain cover has metal rim – some crazing to top .Enlarged strap hole one side .The tongue part has come away where riveted .Looks like this tab clips over wheel on base ( which is missing on this pair) and small strap clips around centre hinge – I could be wrong.Neck strap worn / snapped
