I have used successfully this mini astrophotographic mount for 5 or 6times.Now it appears to loose tracking in “Deep Sky” mode (the”Star” in the wheel).It was thoroughly inspected by the local authorized Vixen Service, andsurprisingly they didn’t find anything wrong. This device (Vixen Polarie as shown in pictures) was always carefully handled by me, never dropped down or hit, even the discreet sound of its motor soundsnormal.There are two small signs at the paint (see pictures) that were made insidethe travel photo-bag by some of the crowded accessories (perhaps the polar-finderadaptor or the mini wedge).Having said all that as I should and according to the best of my knowledge (the device was opened by thetechnicians of the service), I verifyagain that the tracking IS PROBLEMATIC (there is star-trailing) in Deep-Skymode (have not tested the other modes at all) and sell it here only FOR SPARESor REPAIR.A time-lapse adapter and a hand-made polar finder adapter are alsoincluded.NOTE that the polar scope seen at one of the pictures above IS NOTINCLUDED, it is shown only as proof for the (hand-made) polar scope’sfunctionality. Batteries are NOT included as well.
