Vintage Zenith Tempest 10×20 Compact Binoculars in Tan Case : J.B231
Nice pair of Zenith Tempest 10×20 compact porro-prism binoculars with a black and silver full metal construction, coated lenses, 5 field of view, central focus wheel and cord lanyard. Serial number 24493 and marked J.B231 indicating that they were made in Japan by the Tochihara Optical Company, they are believed to date from the 1960s and come complete with the original tan case with carry handle.
The binoculars appear to be good optically and are in very good condition. However, the left screw eye cup is missing and we would hope that a replacement could be sourced – see fourth image for detail.
