THESE ARE A PAIR OF RARE ANTIQUE BINOCULARS FROM EARLY 1900s.THEY COME IN A LEATHER RED VELVET LINED CASE AND HAVE A SILVER ENSCRIBED PRESENTATION PLAQUE DATED APRIL 1914.THEY ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION I CANNOT SEE ANY SCRATCHES OR CHIPS TO THE LENS AND THEY ARE ONLY A LITTLE PAINT WORN IN PLACES AND TINY BIT OF LEATHER COVERING MISSING AS SEEN IN PIC. MARKED ON ONE SIDE WITH C.P GOERZ BERLIN AND THE OTHER MARINE TREIDER. THEY ARE ALSO MARKED CHAS A HEYER AND CO NAIROBI. I UNDERSTAND THAT HE WAS A GERMAN MAN BY BIRTH WHO HAD A LARGE IMPORT STORE IN NAIROBI. THERE IS A SERIAL NUMBER.I BELIEVE THESE TO BE VERY COLLECTIBLE AND RARE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION WITH A CASE.THE ONLY FAULT I CAN SEE IS THAT ONE OF THE CIRCULAR SCREW ON EYE PEICES IS MISSING BUT THIS CAN EASILY BE REPLACED.THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.
