Vintage D.McGregor & Co. 6 (?) x 55 Binoculars

Magnification is a guess; they’re a bit wider view than a pair marked “8 x”.

The objective lenses are approx 55 mm diameter.

A very old and well used pair of binoculars with extending sunshades.

No markings found apart from around the eye pieces, which say; “Greenock & Glasgow” on one and “D. McGregor & Co” on the other.

Closed up they measure 12.5 x 12.5 x 6.3 cm and weigh approx. 720 g.

Fully extended; sun shades and focus, they measure 17 cm long.

No case or lens caps.

Condition

Really old and well worn, covering damaged or missing from many parts, please see photos.

In need of an internal clean of lenses.

However, despite all this, they are bright and focus well.

Magnification is a guess, they’re a bit wider view than a pair marked 8 x.
