1800s Colmont Paris Brass Leather Opera Glasses. Good condition for age.
Rare as have “Colmont” embossed on the front of the frames!!!
1800s Antique Pair of Colmont FABT Paris, France Brass & Leather Opera Glasses or Field Binoculars.
Glasses are marked Colmont embossed on the frame, along with C in Star Colmont maker’s mark.
The glasses are in good condition and show normal wear.
The deep black leather is in good condition for age.No signs of rust or corrosion.
No fungus on the lenses.
The glasses function and focus extremely well.
These glasses measure 4″ wide by 2 1/4″ long when not extended. Extended they measure 2 7/8″.
This antique pair of Colmont FABT opera glasses would make an excellent addition to someone’s collection of Victorian precision French opticals, a handsome gift, or be put to immediate use.
