Strathspey 20 x 90 Binoculars. Condition is Used.
Now moving home and downsizing. I am selling these increasingly sought after, and difficult to come by, Strathspey 20 x 90 binoculars, which are listed by the company as ‘no longer abailable’.
They have had very little use, are unmarked and mechanically sound, but there is some mould contamination on the prisms internally, hence my low starting price.
Despite the mould, their terrestrial use is not discernibly affected in any way and it would only be the most fastidious of stargazers that would want a completely mould-free pair. Tnhe original selling price was £200+, so grab yourself a bargain!
These binoculars have very large objective lenses housed in a tough, but light, case. The large objectives give outstanding low light performance, perfect for astronomy. You’ll see deep sky objects other binoculars miss! Also wonderful for scenic observation from your house or caravan.
The big lenses make this the optical equivalent of a high resolution TV, you see lots of detail in the image that a set with smaller lenses would miss. They really are stunning, especially if you’ve never tried something this size before.
This model has a long eye relief 9perfect for spectacle wearers). The tripod mount is built into a slider on the centre bar, these can’t be held by hand.
