The Auction
You are bidding on a used SkyWatcher Quattro 10″/250mm diameter f/4 Newtonian Astrograph, with a Carbon-Fibre tube assembly.
For a full, detailed, description of what this telescope provides, please see the many detailed reviews available elsewhere on the internet. Given that the retail price for an optical instrument such as this is usually just under 1,000, you will see that this is being offered at a very reasonable price.
In fact, the only reason for the sale is that the original project for which it was purchased (wide-field imaging of certain Deep Sky objects) is now complete, and the OTA has already been replaced with a 250mm Ritchey-Chrtien f/8 CF tube. This OTA has only ever been used in an observatory, it has never been used ‘in the open’.

Purchase Contents
The contents of the auction are (as indicated on the images) the OTA itself (with no eyepieces or accessories), the OTA cover and a ‘plasticard’ light-baffle for the mirror-cell assembly.
Bidding and Delivery Restrictions
Perhaps unusually, the attached images show the OTA being packaged in its original container, with the addition of external ‘edge-stiffeners’ to provide even greater protection.
The item is not being offered with ‘free postage’ – it will require an adult’s signature when taking delivery. Receipt of the addressee’s signature (or that of their representative) will be taken as confirmation that the package was received in good condition, with no damage to the contents.
Due to the nature of the item, I would enetertain delivery – within reasonable distances – at an agreed cost, providing full settlement has been received prior to collection. Bidders wishing to take advantage of this should contact me in advance.
