Skywatcher Explorer 130p OTA Only. Condition is Used.
This is the optical tube part of the telescope only i.e there is no mount or tripod with it. It attaches via metal mounting plate that needs to be held in a clamp on the tripod. Or you can get tube rings to attach to a tripod. It is in good condition and Ive had many really fantastic viewings through it. Its a great aperture size for seeing most things and a beginner/intermediate level without being too big or bulky – Ive seen Saturns rings, Jupiters bands and moons and various nebulas and galaxies with it, not to mention the moon obviously looks fantastic.
Things to be aware of:- The main mirror does have some minor marks on it. Thats how it was when I got it and Ive never had any problems. Ive tried to take a photo to show but its really difficult, sorry. Its definitely not scratched or cracked or anything, just a couple of small smudges. Ive never had any problems so never bothered to try to change it.
– It doesnt come with the original finder scope, I had to get a replacement but it works fine. The replacement didnt fit the original fort/holder so I took that off but Ill include the original holder in case you want to put a different finder on it
– I can post it but cannot be held responsible for any damage caused in the post as insurance wont cover the mirrors. Also I will have to remove the finder scope and eyepiece holder to fit it in the box so you will need a cross head screwdriver to put them back on. If collecting Ill leave those bits on.
Its a really great bargain price that reflects the info above.
