We are delighted to offer for sale this 3 position 4 filter wheel with the correct sized threads.
We felt that it was about time someone sorted out the problem with the filter wheels coming from China with the incorrect thread size so we had a word with our friendly manufacturer in Shangrao City and he has custom built the filter wheels for us so that they will take the standard filter thread size of M28.5*0.6
Not only did they make it with the correct sized threads but they also improved it a bit. The nosepiece is threaded so that you can have an extra filter added to use across your other filters. It also has a compression ring fitting for your eyepieces.
You will probably find it easiest to remove the eyepiece holder so that you can access the wheel removal screw.
There is room for a filter with a depth of 9.7mm (+ threads). The photos show it with one of our Moon filters which has a depth of 7.5mm (+ threads) which is also the same size as our Wratten filters.
