We are moving home next week !!!
On clearing out the loft here, I found these SAKURA BINOCULARS without a case. These must have been left here by the previous owner of the house.
I don’t know anything about optics and “f” numbers and all the other ‘buzzwords’ for binoculars and similar instruments. I do know that they work though for sure because I’ve looked at the roof of the house over the back of ours and can see its ridges in fine detail with them. I don’t know how far away the neighbour’s roof is BUT I do know our garden is 112′ long as it’s in the details from the land registry through our solicitors! I reckon the roof I’ve looked at is maybe 200 feet away ???? (Aside of not understanding “F” stuff in detail, I also can’t remember the formulae for using triangulation for measuring a distance – and I don’t have enough life left to find a protractor to measure the angles I can see……. lol :) :) :) )
The binoculars are dirty and need a good clean. They have a film of “loft dust” all over them. I haven’t attempted to clean them though because although I don’t understand the f word (lol) for cameras and these sorts of things, I certainly do understand that if I rub the lenses with cleaning stuff I have here (which is likely to be the wrong stuff) with the intention to clean them, in doing so I may actually scratch them render them useless.
I would much rather you come and collect them rather than us go and post them because there is no box / case – though I will wrap them well in something soft if you can’t collect. We currently live in Brimington, Chesterfield but will be gone next week. If you want to collect you MUST collect them by Saturday 22 August at the latest !!! If you are coming to collect in person, please pay by cash rather than PayPal
I really don’t have a clue what they are worth so am putting them on auction rather than buy it now.
