InFocus will accept it as a trade in and told me they will sell it for at least 500 used. RSPB recommended price 999 new.
The only sign of wear is the slightly frayed material in two places on the strap (see photograph). There is no danger of it splitting or breaking.
The eyepiece rubber cover is not the original which kept falling off. This one has a rubber strap to stop this happening.
