Pair WWI WWII Leitz Wetzlar 8x Binoculars in Ross Fitted Leather Case LTMP Werke
A pair of Leitz 8x magnification binoculars I believe from the inter war period, but unsure, could be earlier as the patent referred to is from 1907. In a Ross fitted leather case which fits so well, Im assuming it was a retail case. Case and binoculars marked LTMP. Binoculars marked Leitz-Werke Wetzlar and Patent No 22933/07
Seem to be collimated well. Black paint worn on brass and metal hinges, some minor oxidation. Paint generally worn, including in eye cup. Bakelite in good used condition. Leatherette on binoculars in good used condition, coming away a bit in one place. Lenses have much fungus inside them, but are still useable. Strap attached on one side only as one fastener has been lost, the one present is slightly damaged but functional. Leather case is in good condition with minor stitching loss on back straps. Hinge and fastening strap quite worn, cracked, but functional. Interior velvet in good condition, coming away in couple places. No strap.
