For Auction: a lovely pair of vintage French Lumiere Binoculars in a well used condition.

These binoculars were made in France and have been in my family since the 1960’s

The leather covering on the lenses is in good condition, the black paint has wear on most edges.

The focus ring moves smoothly and the central hinge also moves smoothly.

Engraved on the central hinge is ‘8×30’ which presumably is the magnification, other markings are ‘72,64,56’

The eyepiece adjustment rings still move, however the left adjuster is quite tight, the right one is fine. The glass is in generally good condition with a few slight marks, view through the binoculars is good.

Included is a leather case in used condition. The rivets fixing the leather ‘hinge’ on the case lid have become detached, a simple repair would sort this out, otherwise the case is fine. The case is made in England, so us unlikely to be the original case for these binoculars.
