I’m selling a really great recent find.
This is an original, virtually unused, Tasco 66 TE telescope from the mid-1960’s from Japan. It does show signs of being put together.
Its been kept in it’s original box, as it arrived from the shop. So it’s in really great condition. It even has it’s original shop display cover!
And it comes with two great,cool, old posters, the “Rand McNally Official Map of The Moon”, dated 1958.
And the “Modern Map of Space”, also dated 1958….also Rand McNally and Company.
I don’t know much about space exploration, but i’m fairly sure we hadn’t been there much when they produced these posters! So i’m guessing these are quite rare? And in such good,unused condition. These have never been exposed to sunlight, the colours are still very rich!
Also included is the Tasco booklet by Arthur P. Smith Jr,” A key to World’s Beyond” from 1966. This in mint condition too.
It’s described as having 180 x 55 magnification, but i’m not entirely sure, as this seems an unusual measurement.
But i think the yellow sticker on the box is probably original from it’s purchase.
I am aware that this telescope is not a very high quality, but in such an untouched state, i’m hoping it’ll find a home?
As i found these all together, i’m keen to see it all stays together.
But i’m always open to reasonable offers.
