NIKON 7 X 50 mm 7 .3 Deg INDIVIDUAL FOCUSINGThis auction if for of verygood pair of NIKON 7 x 50 I/F. binocularproduced in the late 1950s and is in outstanding condition. They have theoriginal leather case, lined with a velvet lining. The lanyard is also theoriginal in good condition. The serialnumber is 851142 which I understand was produced in the 1950,sThe cosmetic condition isvery good (small marks on the objective beauty rims where they have been putdown / case marks etc , however the restof the paintwork / bodywork is virtually unmarked, indicating great care overthe years by previous owners.The build quality of thisMarine binocular is superb in allrespects and will I have no doubt still be a favourite for users and collectorsfor years ahead ( built like a tank ) but enjoyable in use especially withthese fabulous optics to hand. The lenseshave individual focusing and the adjustment is smooth as expect from thisquality binocular.Optically this is were thesebinoculars really excel the performance and quality of the image produced isbrilliant and the Japanese has been classified as one the bestbinoculars produced during this era andwere designed for Marine and Astronomy users and is still one of the highestperforming glasses available even in these times.All focusing is smooth andpositive, each ocular adjustment is very comfortable to use and reverse viewingreveals a very clean interior also the alignment is perfect . They do have the earlycoating system and despite the more recent improvement in coatings do give anexcellent contrast and definition, with true colours and no yellowish or bluetin .There is no signs of fungus or dust and no damageto either the coatings or the prisms `I do have a return policyshould they not adhere to the above description, a full refund is guaranteed. Please advised me if any problemsexist.
