TheNICKEL (of MARBURG) SUPRA 15-60x ZOOM telescope (or early spottingscope) was a popular german made model with birdwatchers and huntersin the 1960`s. Today these quality german scopes are becomingcollectable with those interested in vintage optics.Thisexample is in really lovely order and is I`m sure, quite a lateexample with a pull out lens hood rather than the screw on and offtype usually found. It also comes with a genuinely rare accessory a 1.5x right angle eyepiece adaptor which changes easily byunscrewing the eyecup and then replacing it on the adaptor. I havenever seen this NICKEL accessory before. The scope body is virtuallyunmarked, the draw tubes have good resistance, and both zoom andfocusing controls work smoothly. The optics both external andinternal seem to be clear and free from any significant issues apartfrom some dust on the inside of the objective. I have used thisvintage scope on a tripod from my lounge scanning the fields oppositefor springtime hares and lambs and can confirm it delivers verydecent images and it is stable and enjoyable to use especially if youlike retro instruments. I am supplying this scope with a giant of atripod a vintage VIDEOCARE V6000AF, which is incredibly strongand sturdy working very well, it has a very high maximum workingheight of at least 190cm approx.
