Hi. I’m reluctantly selling my beloved telescope. Main reason is i just don’t have time for it any more. I’ve seen and done some interesting things with it. My favourites were watching the moons of Jupiter orbit and cast shadows on it, the Orion nebula, and zooming right into craters on the moon. It’s a serious bit of kit! I’ve done some work with the LPI too recording images and video with registax and a laptop.

It’s a used item and in good condition, a bit dusty so the main lens and body will need a spring clean. I’ve literally just taken it from the garage and photographed it as is. It’s not the GPS version, but polar aligning this thing is easy. Meade also has all the manuals online. The telescope also comes with an array of other items, here’s the full list:

As far as delivery etc goes, given the delicate nature i’d advise collection in person. I’d be happy to drop this off if it’s not too far from the ST18 area, or perhaps further out for a small charge. I’m also happy for you to arrange a courier to collect, though i can’t accept responsibility for any damage in transit if you choose this method.

Anyway, if you’re interested in astronomy this is a good place to start. There’s lots of technical detail about this model online, as well as examples of what images look like through it etc.
