Antique Pre WWI German Made C.P. Goerz 6x Pagor Trieder Binoculars.
*A Rangefinder (no numbers, just a Grid), is clearly visible on the r/h side in use, I attempted to show this but it’s only a faint image, very hard to capture with my Camera, anyway logic dictates that its presence implies some possible Military use.*
* Serial No 184102, according the the Database I referenced they will date to 1912.*
Of mainly Brass construction.
Central Pivot moves firmly and smoothly, no cracks or play.
An early Compact Prismatic Binocular, working very well.
Focusing smoothly and firmly both on the r/h Ocular and on the Central Wheel, the Central Focus Mechanism operates evenly, no stickiness or other issues.
No double imaging, collimation is good.
With only a few small specks of dust and a very small amount of peripheral fungus internally, (all of which is visible solely when viewed down through the “wrong” end, as shown).
No haze, very serviceable, giving a good sharp and clear image in use despite some minor “spotting” visible on the Graticule, not serious at all but worth a mention.
No rattles when shaken, no visible internal damage.
A small loss to the Wrap in one area, as shown, otherwise externally excellent with only minor cosmetic patina of age and use, intact with no major damage, no cracks or structural issues throughout.
No damaged or cracked Eye-cups.
Lenses all in good condition with only very minor signs of age and use, as shown clearly, no visible scratches, no chips or cracks andall firmly seated.
