Excellent original condition Zeiss Jagdglas Vergr.=5 binoculars & case
The Jagdglas Vergr.=5 model is very rare with very few recorded examples. Even more rare is the excellent original condition of this pair. Apart from a little edge rubbing, the black paint is very good with the silver solder filled inscriptions still raised and very clear. The leather is perfect. Both eye cups appear to be original and are undamaged. The oculars focus very smoothly on the distinctively long ocular tubes. All lenses and prisms are clean, clear, and collimated providing very good viewing. With all the screw heads and slots in perfect condition, I seems that these binoculars have never been taken apart. They are inscribed on the left hand cover plate Carl Zeiss Jena and on the right, Jagdglas Vergr.=5 and have the serial number 6001 stamped on the hinge.These also come with an original black leather case which is in fair condition. It has some surface flaking, a missing handle, and an non-original clasp, but is otherwise very usable.
As with all my high value items, if you would care to pay via bank transfer with no recipient fees, I will gladly contribute to reducing postage costs, which for fully insured international deliveries can be rather expensive.
