A pair of high quality, World War 1 vintage (1914), military, quite rare, Colmont of Paris 8x (8 x 25) binoculars in working order. The alignment is fine, the optics have some slight dirt and haze inside, the left front lens element has some marks in the glass around the edge but are still quite usable, the individual focusing controls work smoothly as does the centre pivot. They show a lot of signs of use and age, paint wear/chips with some paint missing, looks like they have been lacquered, body covering looks okay. Made in France with the date 1914 stamped on the front, comes with original canvas neck strap and military brown hard leather case, CASE STRAP HAS BEEN REPAIRED.
