Celestron Nexstar 11 GPS Goto PC Controlled Telescope Fastar Carbon USA . Collection only.

Here I’m selling my nexstar 1100
I have had this scope for less than a year. I purchased it used second hand on ebay. Its a great scope the optics really look perfect. It gives amazing views of the moon, m13, and the planets. I have had some issues with it though.
1st its very heavy, I have suffered many years from back problems and cannot cart this out to the garden anymore.
I also find it hard to reach perfect focus. So for visual it seems fine but for photography I would not recommend it unless you know how to focus this scope its very powerful,, looking online it may be suffering from mirror flop or bad colimnation.
(Bare this in mind when bidding as I really don’t want to take it back.)

I have added some pictures, I’m no expert but they do not look perfect to me.

Another issue is the gps. I’m not sure if it works perfectly. If I use the 2 star align it hits jupiter bang on, although I have not got to grips with just switching it on and it knows where everything is.
Maybe it needs a firmware upgrade but that’s something I’m not willing to try.

I have seen online how some people De mount these and use them on an equatorial mount. Again I think it’s best left as is.

I’ve been very honest and listed the good points and bad points about this beast.

Anyway it has to go.
