Pair of Carl Zeiss Deltrentis 1Q – new!Obviously these were made a long time ago, but they have remained unsold and unused, packed away in their case on a shelf somewhere for years.They are in immaculate condition therefore, inside and out, apart from one flaw:Inside the right ocular there is a reticule, and below this reticule the original ‘paint’ (or whatever Zeiss used to draw the reticule) has an extra mark – a mistake. I have been unable to photograph this, but if you see the final picture, I have attempted to draw how it looks (minus the large arrow, obviously!)
It’s very small, black (same as reticule), shaped like a ‘wrong’ astetisk. It’s very noticeable though when viewing. This paint, I presume, is non-removeable, but not a foreign body post-production.Inside and out the glass is otherwise perfect. Very bright. The hinge and dual focusing barrels work faultlessly as new.
Definitely a collector’s item.
