FOR SALE
A Pair of genuine Carl Zeiss Jena Silvamar 6 X 30 Binoculars. The serial number of 1719524 indicates a production year of 1935. As they are the 500 gram model, they are the original model before the Silvamar Binocs were made into a lightweight version post 1935. They are with their original leather strap but unfortunately no case.
The vision is absolutely excellent on these, and the focusing wheels work normally.
The lenses are very clear with only a few very small scratches which do not affect the image clarity whatsoever, you cannot see these scratches when you look through the binoculars, only if you look with great scrutiny from the outside.
The sight adjustors move and work smoothly.
There is no fungus or dust in the ends of the lenses.
There is cosmetic wear to the outer metal parts as you can see in the photos, but this only adds to the patina. No chips to the eyepieces, leather covering is in very good condition.
