When ordering please indicate which cable you are after #505 or #507#505 or #507 serial cable for Meade Autostar #495 #497 Audiostar handpanel to PC connection allowing computer control over telescope GO-TO function and software upgrade.Following to numerous feedbacks I’m listing herein rewindable cassette serial cable. Obviously I’m not making this cable myself anymore but have to outsource it from reputable and well known name on the market, hence the price. All functionality remains the same as original plain wire #505 cable. The cassette design eliminates tangled lead problem forever. As well as (at least that’s what some of astronomers complained about) problem with broken plastic tubs on the plugs will be a matter of the past. Cable un-winds to full 5m length just by a slight pull on both ends. It can be also rewound back for safe storage with serial plugs disconnected.
For safety and ease of postage I will unscrew small plastic winding handle from the cassette before sending a cable to you. Once received you can re-attach it back using small phillips or slotted screwdriver.
Every cable will be tested live on my own Autostar before posting to youSince I’m using the same equipment myself you’re more than welcome to ask any questions before or after purchase.
