There is no ‘Buy It Now’ price, the auction will run its course.This auction is for a pair of rather unusual 12x vintage binoculars. They are marked with ‘C.P. Goerz Berlin’ and ‘Rieder Binocle’, plus some fancy scrolling around the words. There is no indication of the objective size but measuring it with a ruler it appears to be about 20mm.Focusing is achieved by means of two knurled wheels just forward of the eyepiece and the interpupillary distance (the distance between the eyepieces) is adjusted by means of a single wheel that is towards the front and perpendicular to the body.There are a number of scratches on the body but this does not affect their use. The view is fairly clear although very slightly misty, once the object is in focus the binoculars are quite usable.They are supplied fitted with a narrow leather strap and a case which is also fitted with a strap. The case originally closed by means of a press stud but one half is missing, however, the lid is a good fit so this is only a small issue.If you have any questions about this item please just askIMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE:Payment for winning bids must be received within 2 days from the end of the auction.
