This was one of the largest telescopes of its type produced by this maker and was in direct competition with the famous Dollond Target Major series, dating from before the First World War but also manufactured well into the Inter-War period.
Truly awesome optics.  c. 1920s / 1930s

SUMMARY:

An excellent and versatile, well-engineered instrument for the serious user or collector. This is a very good example of what became the leading branded instrument in the inter-war years for explorers on excursions, game hunters and stalkers. As these telescopes had no serial numbers assigned to them, their precise year of manufacture is always an estimate based on general condition. The excellent leatherwork suggests that this is a late 1920s or early 1930s model. It could just be earlier but it is unlikely to be pre- World War 1.
