This is an example of the famous and sought after U Boat binocular of WW2.This example has been professionally cleaned and the optics and optical quality are superb. It has the less common black sand east rough finish (and is complete) and I can find no evidence of the the greenish paint usually found on this model. There is some paint loss on the bending bar and prism covers, down to bare metal in places. The objective and eyepieces lens coating are complete.The rubber armouring is reproduction however the original rubber objected are included. I think the Benutzer cap and Rubber cord are original but cannot be certain. The carrying strap may be primal and it is in great condition. An excellent example of a famous binocular.
