If you need to get that bit closer to the action and the drop in light transmission that normally comes with increased magnification, is important, then your only option is to go for the greater light gathering power that a larger aperture object lens will provide, and then the 10×56 is a good choice for you. It’s no bigger than the less powerful 8×56 yet it packs that extra magnification that might make all the difference. They are waterproof to a depth 1.5m of water for three minutes. A further refinement of the ‘Savannah’ range is the position of the individual eyepiece control just behind the main focus adjustment wheel, instead of the traditional adjustment ring placed in front of the right hand eyepiece.
