Barr & StroudED PC 8×42 Series 4 Binocular ishigh-quality, high-precision binocular for the serious observer, the Series4 ED binoculars from Barr& Stroud aretheir newest line as well as their top of the range. The ED in their name givesa hint to the main selling point of these Barr & Stroud binoculars and refers the use of ExtraLow Dispersion glasslenses. This high-quality, high-precision lenses have less air bubbles andglass deformities in them that are more likely to cause image distortion. Sobasically the extra low dispersion glass prevents chromatic aberration becauseit concentrates and directs the wavelength of light more efficiently ontoobserver eyes.The Barr & StroudED 8×42 Series 4 ED have superb quality BaK-4roof prisms meaningthat they are made of better-quality optical glass that will help in ensuringyou get a high-contrast and sharp picture over the full field of view. These Barr& Stroud ED PC 8×42 Series 4 binoculars also have a set of phasecorrection coatings on the prism glass that keeps light in correct colourphases, yielding brighter images and higher edge-to-edge sharpness. The Barr& Stroud ED PC 8×42 Series 4 are O-ring Sealed and thereforefully waterproof and can endure complete immersion in water to a depth of 1.5meters for three minutes and stay dry inside.
