TheKENKO brand name has been around since the 1960`s I believe. Probablybetter known in mainland Europe, North America and Asia than in theU.K. The company bought up the TOKINA lens brand a few years back andnow operates under the KenkoTokina Co., Ltd. title.Thislisting is for a 63mm KENKO PRO FIELD angled bodied spotting scope fieldscope if you prefer – with a 20-50x zoom eyepiece; twinned witha VANGUARD VT-158 lightweight tripod. These scopes were claimed asbeing shower-proof when new, and I can confirm that the scope &eyepiece deliver good bright sharp images with both zoom and focusingcontrols working well. This family of KENKO scopes are very similar(if not exactly the same!) to the DELTA scopes sold by U.K. retailerIN FOCUS.Thescope features fully coated optics, a sliding lens hood and a rubberfold down eyecup on the eyepiece; the tripod has a quick releaseplate and a maximum working height of 141cm approx. This outfit wouldparticularly suit a young person or anyone of shorter stature.
