A pair of Barr & Stroud 1940s Admiralty issue Binoculars serial No 57363 patented 1934, they were used for naval reconnaissance during WW2 and also in the immediate post war period, having adjustable filters for different light conditions [ see photos] each eye piece has individual focusing and both are clear and crisp, both focusing and filters work as they should with no rattles or double vision. the condition is what I would call well used, but look at the photos as they play a major part of the description, the case I think is original and in very good age related condition apart from the carrying strap and the left hand fixing which is missing, the inside of the case is very good. I have included the tie on label, I am not sure if it is anything to with these binoculars, but it was in the case.
If you have any questions please send me an email and I will endeavour to answer, thanks for looking.
