Up for sale are a mid sized pair of Barr & Stroud 8x CF.18 binoculars. Not my area of expertise so, as usual, I’ll describe these as best I can. Not sure when these date back to but possibly the 1950s or 60s perhaps. So cosmetically in fairly good overall condition. Focusing ring smooth and working. Eye diopter ring works but is a bit stiff to turn. Optically, internal elements a bit grimy – hard to say if this is dirt, fungus or a combination of both but anyway could ideally do with a clean and service. Original case shows a bit of age and wear but not too bad. Sold as seen. Any questions welcome.
