Original ANTIQUE 19th Century Antique French Opera Theatre Viewing Glasses Binoculars Iris ParisUp for your consideration we are proud to offer this antique pair Iris Opera glasses, made in Paris, France, 19th century. Glasses seem in good condition for their age. Great Collectible item. Glasses were made by Iris in Paris, and each eyepiece is marked as such (see photos)Glasses have a brass and leather finish, which are in pretty good condition, with some scuffs to leather, with one tear in the leather on right side, and you can see where it has come away from the tube.Lens adjustment knob turns, but little screw toward eyepiece (top screw between eyepieces with flat head) sometimes turns with them, so turning the knob does push the tubes forward, but they only stay level when they are furthest back – as they go forward they get loose and wobbly seems that perhaps a part is missing – we didnt try to repair them as they are ANTIQUE, but this adjustment should be able to be repaired, but we are not certain.Glasses are in good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks in glass, but a small bit of dust, but view is clear.Leather case is marked France on bottom, with decorative brass push button latch that works, so case is worn, but still functional.Case is lined in felt and satin, but exterior leather shows significant wear, with tears at each side and partially on bottom, and leather handle is torn and mostly gone.Please look at all photos as they are an integral part of description.If you have any questions, please ask, and we respond quickly
