Zomz (Zagorsky Optical Mechanical Plant) 12×40 Russian binoculars USSR.
Vintage (1970’s), Russian, BNB1 Zomz 12 x 40 binoculars in good condition.
Fully coated (multi-coated?) lenses, all controls work smoothly.
There are small signs of use but generally they are in good cosmetic condition – please see photos.
Lenses – there are no scratches, though they have not been covered with dust caps (they have been kept in the leather case – and unused for 20+ years) so there is a little bit of dust around the edges of the eye pieces.
The coatings are complete on the lenses – one of the objective lenses has a very small maybe 2mm square area which looks like perhaps ageing of the coating though this isn’t visible when looking through the binoculars.
Made in USSR, serial number N705283, comes with original leather neck strap, and a black leather hard case with strap.
Well made, powerful (12x magnification) binoculars, ideal for general use, birdwatching, race meetings, etc.
