An explanation which has been placed/ posted in response to previous questions in regard to EAST v WEST German ZEISS an outline is below:
“Now there were and have been two separate companies in these two different countries as well, the one in the East Carl Zeiss Jena and the one in the West Oberkocken. Both made optical equipment under the Carl Zeiss name (east and west) additionally the eastern block also made many other scientific products which were exported all over the WORLD under the CZeiss Jena Jenoptik brand.”
