sooocollectableFor sale is an interesting pair of Carl Zeiss Jena 8×30 Binoculars. Date of manufacture is 1937 from the serial number 2198662. Marked withe the CZJ mark along with 8 degree 5 and BC Nr 7 Sr 3862 – please see pictures provided. I presume they are for German Military use from the date of manufacture and style – potentially very rare.The binos focally smoothly and sharply. The optics have some dirt spots looking back through but the image is excellent – better than the pictures I have taken – the automatic focus doesn’t like the dirt spots on the optics. One of the eye cups has a chipped and the other has a crack which has been fixed. The body of the bins looks to have been repainted and have since repainting, worn.The pictures included in this listing form part of the description so please take time to view all the pictures.
