Vintage Telescope Mount / Spotter Scope mount – Pivots / Elevates .Fits old typeThis was on the J.H.Steward ‘The Lord BuryTelescope ‘ OFFERED SEPERATELY but as not original ( later ) I removed
Make do and mend era / Home Engineered ?May be made up from available parts but obviously suited purpose .Heavy Steel U bracket that must have bolted to legs / Tripod ?The upper elevating part has a hefty 5mm thick plate shaped and welded to thinner steel part that fits around end barrel of Telescope and tightens with nuts / bolts .
Age unknown – post 1900 – may have been used During WW1 or WW2 – Home Front / Observer Corps ?
Not Beautiful but fit for pupose !
