THIS LISTING IS FOR A PAIR OF CLASSIC SWIFT SPWA 8 X 36 BINOCULARS.TOP QUALITY JAPANESE OPTICS AND POSSIBLY DATING FROM THE LATE 1970’S TO ’80’S.
THESE HAVE MULTI-COATED LENSES AND ARE EXTRA WIDE ANGLE.I BELIEVE THESE ARE HIGHLY SUITABLE FOR BOTH BIRD WATCHING AND STAR GAZING.FAIRLY COMPACT IN SIZE AND NOT TO HEAVY.ROBUST AND GOOD QUALITY IN BUILD.COME IN ORIGINAL SWIFT HARD CARRYING CASE WITH ORIGINAL LENS COVERS.
NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT BIT………….THESE BINOCULARS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.ONE OR TWO VERY LIGHT MARKS TO THE PAINTED EDGES.THEY HAVE NO FUNGUS AND HAVE A NICE SMOOTH OPERATION.THEY APPEAR TO FOCUS PERFECTLY…..HOWEVER…….I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THEY REQUIRE A SERVICE/CLEAN/RE-COLLIMATION….I’M NOT A EXPERT ON THESE,SO TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS INFORMED AND HAPPY,THEY WILL BE SOLD ‘FOR SPARES OR REPAIR’….HENCE THE LOW START PRICE.OTHERWISE,THEY APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER AND STORED PROPERLY AFTER USE.
