Vintage Swift Audubon Mk II Binoculars Blue Stripe 8.5 x 44 Extra Wide Field 445ft at 1000yds. Vintage Binoculars with original leather case, case strap, and binocular strap. Also original Swift lens cloth and 2 lens caps (for the large lenses). The 2 small lens caps are missing. The binoculars work well, giving a good quality image.
Swift Audubon Mk II Binoculars Blue Stripe 8.5 x 44 Extra Wide Field 445ft at 1000yds all this text is printed on the binoculars themselves, and it seems to me that the text shows little sign of wear. The blue stripe on the left-hand side is also in good condition.
The binoculars themselves are in good condition with, as far as I can tell, minor wear marks on the focus knob (see photos). Body, lenses, lens surrounds etc. all look to be in good condition.
The leather case has some scuff marks and there is minor wear around the top and base edges.
There are 2 original quality control Passed labels – one on the base of the leather case, and the other on the binoculars themselves. These binoculars were bought new in the mid 1970s (as far as I can work out) by my father, and he scarcely used them. They have been kept in the case and not used at all for at least the last 40 years. The time has come to pass them on to someone who will appreciate these high quality vintage binoculars.
