Vintage pair of high quality Carl Zeiss Jenoptem 8x30W binoculars made in the former East Germany. They are marked “Made in DDR” and the serial number of 4151017 dates them between 1973 and 1974.
These have been a well loved and used pair as they have considerable wear to the paint but critically the optics remain in first class condition and the focus rings operate smoothly. The binoculars retain a leather neck strap.
The leather case is in very good overall condition with just some age related wear and the clasp is tight and secure , please note however the case is missing a carrying strap.
