I found these clearing out the loft and forgot I had them.You are bidding on a Vintage set of Opera Glasses, They do come with the case (not sure if its the original) the case is in really bad shape it does have a hole in it, please see the pics, the glass in the lenses are all fine from what I can see, these glasses will need some TLC as they are not in the best shape, all the bits that need to move, do move and collapse, please ask any questions before bidding, they are not in the best of shape as I told you but they are over 100 years old from the research that I’ve done. Description from Internet below”This pair of binoculars, or opera glasses, have folding clamshell-like covers for the objective lenses. The covers are black/green. The objectives are positioned by turning a lever that rotates the lenses from a horizontal to vertical position. This permits the glasses to be folded to a very compact size. The objective lenses are achromatic doublets, contained in brass cells. They have plated brass tubes, single lens eyepieces, and flared eyecups, painted black. Focusing is done with a central cylindrical thumbwheel. All the metal parts appear to be plated or painted brass. They are signed “LEMAIRE FAB PARIS” on the face of the eyecups.”
