On this ocassion you are viewing Frank Nipole 3855 10 x 40 (10 x magnification with a 40mm lens) wide angle field binoculars with fully coated u/v optics, which comes in its original very sturdy leather casing with matching leather carry strap. These were my fathers and are at least 1960s but may be even earlier. They’ve layen unused in a box in the loft for 40 years or so, but I’ve just looked through them and they appear to be in working order, although they could probably do with a bit of a clean by someone who knows what they are doing. Note too that there’s only 1 front + 1 rear plastic lens cap. I’ve absolutely no idea of their value, so time to let the market decide!
