I have owned these excellent binoculars from new. I was in my 20’s in 1980 when i bought them from “Wildings Photographic Ltd” who were in the high street in Chorley Lancashire. At the time they were the very best on the market with “Carl Zeiss” optics being produced in the DDR which was then of course East Germany. As you can see from the receipt they cost me the grand sum of 62:95 on the 16th August 1980. And at that time they were quite expensive. They have since been with me on my many many travels, and are of outstanding optical quality that provide stable clear viewing. The only thing i need to add is about the case, the maroon protective interior is still in perfect condition, but the case itself has marks and scuffs from its many adventures, please be aware that the spring steel that hinges the lid has split the leather that should be fully around it, it does open and close ok, but i never concerned myself about getting it repaired. Other than that, the photos i have put up show the history of these well travelled binoculars and it will all be sent on to the buyer. I will send them well packaged, Royal Mail and tracked from post office to delivery door. Please no “but it now” offers, and no sale outside the uk. 75 start for a well documented collectable item.
